Late Night with Sav-on

Had to go to Sav on to get cough syrup at 2 AM, couldnt breathe well from coughing when lying down. It was good after. Everyone has a cough now, should be over in a few days.

Sav-on at 2 AM was quiet with one checker and a " guard "( he had the army shirt on). Didn't look like the guy would be able to dial a phone. Got to the cough syrup isle --- oh wow - so many choices, colors and claims. Got a store brand with a white box and red liguid - looked the best and it did work. What the heck is "tussin" anyway?


This is hippie: Trying a 1 day mini cleanse. lemon juice from raw lemons, cayenne pepper and pure " A " grade maple syrup ( 1 oz )blend with pure water. Drink for the day. Flush your self out with water the next morning.
Supposed to get rid of the toxins. The last time I did it was for 3 days and got a headache the first two. After it's done I felt great.

feeling bad

dragging this morning here at work, want to go home but dont want to use any sick day time.
I haven't been sleeping more than 4.5 hours per night for the last few weeks on the weekdays and it has caught up with me, it feels like a chest cold, I never get sick and if I do it due to lack of rest.

New Starbucks

This morning I went to the Starbucks near the newer Barnes & Noble. ( Old drive-in area )
It was so uncrowded only 2 people.

The employees didn't try and use my name in an overt way ( the other way is like some Twilight Zone episode and your waiting for something to happen or you have the stupid sign on your back ) and were normal acting. The workers weren't over friendly but nice enough and it good Starbucks experience. Got my Americano - grande, 2 raw sugars, with whipped cream, then hit the freeway to head up to Westlake. I have jsut enough mercy to feel slightly bad for this stupid type of thing.
Guilt free anonymous Starbucks. It was good.

This morning

I mentioned this on Dan's post before. This morning I was running late and still wanted to go to Starbucks but didnt want to deal with the forced happiness of the poor workers. They seem to be taking it personally. I have been poilte too. One morning this particular bitter women put grounds in my coffee. I couldn't beleive it and found it at the bottom when I was in westlake.
Today, I was too tired to be up for it. So I went the whole way to westlake and went to the starbucks on westlake blvd. to get my grande americano to maintain partial anonymity.
The workers there are pleasant enough but are more real in their approach.
This is getting to be a real problem, I know it's a small one, it's irritating. Now I have to " be known and know " at starbucks too.
At times being anonymous - but friendly and polite- is just fine.
